CAMILLE GAINER JONES

Drummer extraordinaire

Camille is a native New Yorker who has established herself with a rich career poised with artistic ability and versatility. At the young age of 11, she began playing drums and other instruments such as guitar, violin, and piano. She then went on to study with master drummer Michael Carvin. She credits Michael with opening her up to all styles of playing and, most notably, being aware of the feeling and language of different styles and her sight-reading prowess. Her diligence and perseverance earned her a full scholarship at Brooklyn’s Long Island University, where she studied with greats such as Keith Copeland.
